Restoring Hope. Empowering Lives

The Impact of Educational & Skill Access

Lack of access to basic education and vocational training is one of the leading causes of generational poverty in Africa.
UNESCO’s Institute for Statistics (UIS) reports that in 2015, approximately 202 million children and adolescents in sub‑Saharan Africa were not achieving minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics.
In Nigeria alone, more than 20 million children are out of school, and millions of women, especially widows, are left without opportunities to earn a living.
These gaps affect entire communities, limiting growth, economic development, and social stability.
At Garden of Hope, we exist to change that.

Our Approach & Why It Works
We don’t work from the top down - we work heart to heart.
Our founder, Eden Rufus, grew up in poverty and almost lost her chance at education. But through community support, her life changed. That experience shaped everything we do.
We:
-
Meet urgent needs like food and education
-
Build long-term solutions like Hope Centers
-
Stay rooted in dignity, love, and lived experience
We believe real change happens when we care deeply and act locally.
